Privacy Policy

The short version: we collect your name and email so we can send you a licence key, your card details never touch our servers, and your detailed course progress stays in your own browser — only a completion summary is stored against your licence key. We do not sell anything about you to anyone.

1. What we collect

When you buy

• Your name and email address. We need these to issue and deliver your licence key.
• Your payment. Handled entirely by Stripe. Card numbers are entered directly into Stripe's secure fields — we never see, receive or store your card details. Stripe passes us the amount, the outcome, and the last four digits.

When you use a course

• Your licence key and the name you entered, so the course can show your name on your training milestone award.
• Your progress — lessons completed, module quizzes passed, practice-exam results, and your readiness and review data: which practice questions you answered and whether you got them right, your review schedule for missed questions and flashcards, the exam date you set and your attempt history. They are kept in your browser and, so that they follow your key to any phone or computer, a copy is stored with our hosting provider, Netlify, against the course and the email address your key is bound to. Whenever you are online the course also sends us a summary — your completion percentage, your practice-exam scores and the date you last studied — and study details: study time, practice-exam attempts and topic scores, the questions you miss most often and your module-quiz tries. We store them with your purchase record; our completion reports are built from them. If your key was issued by your employer under a company seat pack or roster licence, the same summary and study details for your seat are visible to that company's training manager in its manager console. Nobody else sees them. Clearing your browser data removes the copy on that device only; to have the stored copies deleted, see Your choices below.
• When your key was first activated, recorded against your purchase so we can apply our refund policy fairly and resend your key if you lose it.

2. What we do not do

• We do not sell, rent or trade your information.
• We do not run advertising or advertising trackers on this site.
• We do not build profiles of you or share your data with data brokers.
• We do not use tracking cookies. The site uses your browser's local storage only, and only for your own course progress and language preference.

3. Who we share with

Only the services that make the purchase work:

We share what each one needs to do its job and nothing more. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

If your licence key was bought for you by your employer, that employer can see the summary and study details for your seat in its manager console — completion percentage, practice-exam scores and attempts, topic scores, the questions you miss most often, module-quiz tries and study time. It does not see your lesson-by-lesson activity, the answers you chose, your flashcard ratings or your readiness and review data.

4. How long we keep it

Purchase records — name, email and the transaction — are retained for as long as we are required to keep business and tax records. Your licence key is derived from your purchase record, which is what lets us resend it years later if you ask.

The copy of your course progress is kept until you ask us to delete it. You can reset your readiness, mistakes and flashcard schedule from the course dashboard at any time, which clears them on every device.

5. Your choices

• See what we hold. Email us and we will tell you.
• Correct it. Email us and we will fix it.
• Delete it. Email us and we will delete what we are not legally required to keep. Deleting your purchase record means we can no longer reissue your key.
• Delete your detailed course progress yourself, any time: clearing your browser data for the course site removes the copy on that device, and the reset link on the course dashboard clears your readiness, mistakes and flashcard schedule on every device. To have the stored copy of your progress, or the summary and study details held against your key, deleted, email us.

5a. Job board and talent board

If you post a technician profile, we store the details you enter (name, email, phone, city and state, certifications, certification number and expiration, experience, skills, summary and any resume link) and the credential image you attach. The certifications, location, experience, skills and summary are shown publicly with your initials only. Your name, phone, email and resume link are released to an employer only when that employer unlocks your profile, and we email you each time it happens. The certification number is used only to check your profile against NWSA's public verification tool and is never shown to employers. The credential image is seen only by the person doing that check and is deleted when your profile is approved. You can pause or remove your profile at any time with the link we email you; removing it deletes your contact details, certification number and summary. Profiles come off the public board automatically when the certification expiration you gave passes.

If you apply to a job, the employer who posted it receives your certifications, location and experience, and receives your name, phone, email and resume link when they unlock your application.

If you buy unlock tokens, we store your email, company name, token balance, purchase and unlock history, and the technicians you have unlocked, so your dashboard can show them to you. Card details go to Stripe and never touch our systems. Employers agree to use unlocked contact details for recruiting that person only.

6. Children

This platform is built for working tower technicians and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

7. Security

The site and every course are served over HTTPS. Payments run through Stripe, a PCI Service Provider Level 1 processor. Because we never handle card data and keep only a completion summary of your course progress, the amount of information about you that we hold at all is deliberately small.

8. Changes

If this policy changes, the "last updated" date above changes with it.
