NWSA TTT-2 Study Guide

What is on the TTT-2 written exam

From the NWSA Candidate Handbook (CH REV 10/25): 100 questions, 2 hours, online remote proctoring, $274 per sitting. Prerequisite: An active TTT-1 certification. NWSA sets the passing score through a standard-setting process and does not publish it.

DomainShare of exam
Planning the scope of work and job logistics~18%
Fall protection, climbing and rescue~28%
Hoisting equipment and rigging~24%
Structures~18%
Appurtenance installation and maintenance~12%

Rigging goes from 20% of the exam at TTT-1 to 24% here, and planning from 15% to 18% — together nearly half the paper. The guide spends its time the same way: a full module on hoisting equipment and rigging with Class I–IV rigging plans, one on planning and job logistics, one on special operations, then the fall-protection and rescue module at TTT-2 depth.

What is in the guide

Who it is for

Technicians who hold an active TTT-1 and are moving up to lead-capable work, and anyone whose employer requires TTT-2 for carrier or tower-owner site access. TTT-2 is also the prerequisite for A&L, ARC and Foreman, so it is the gate to every specialty.

Questions people ask

Is this the official NWSA TTT-2 exam or study material?

No. NWSA Study Guide is an independent preparation course built from the domains and weightings NWSA publishes in its Candidate Handbook. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by NWSA, and finishing it does not grant a credential — you still register for and pass the official TTT-2 exam through NWSA’s remote proctoring.

How many questions are on the NWSA TTT-2 exam and how long is it?

100 multiple-choice questions in 2 hours, delivered by online remote proctoring. The fee is $274 per sitting, including retests (Candidate Handbook, REV 10/25).

What do I get for the price?

8 modules (23 lessons) covering every domain above, module quizzes, 84 flashcards, a 90-question timed practice exam, a weak-area report and a completion record. 60-day access from the day you activate, on any device. English, Spanish and Russian — every lesson, quiz and flashcard.

How fast can I start?

Immediately. Pay by card, your licence key is on screen and in your email within seconds, and the course opens in the browser — nothing to download.

What if it isn’t what I need?

Every course carries a 7-day money-back guarantee. Email support@nwsastudyguide.com and it is refunded.
